Remote Working Principles

6/29/2021

Dear Member.

Many of you are questioning the NCOA’s involvement with the recently released Remote Working Principles. Whilst the NCOA were made aware of the proposals in May, the contents were provided on an embargoed basis, and this remained the case until its release to all staff 25th June.

With any change to working practices that may fundamentally impact many NCOA Members, their pay & work-life balance, it is crucial that we transparently represent the opinions of our members. Which is why the NCOA sought the embargo be lifted in order that it could seek feedback from its members ahead of any formal consultation period … this request for greater transparency was declined.

It is sad to report that it is inaccurate to say that Trade Unions have been consulted, which is enshrined within the Employee Relations Policy and as such, the matter has been escalated to the first stage of the Dispute Resolution Procedure with the Agency Executive Leadership.

You will be updated again shortly.
