The NCOA are proud to announce the appointment of its first National President Mark Sutton.

The NCOA are proud to announce the appointment of its first National President Mark Sutton.

The NCOA announces Mark Sutton as its first National President which carries a 5 year term which commenced on the 1st November 2013.

Simon Boon, Chair of the NCOA National Executive Committee, stated “We are extremely pleased to welcome Mark as our first President, as many of you will be aware he has been instrumental in the creation of the NCOA and brings a wealth of experience to the role and is passionate about delivering the best representational structure and services for our members”

Mark has over 13 years’ experience in the field of member representation and in the latter 7 years was employed as the full time Trade Union Secretary within the Serious Organised Crime Agency where he was engaged in National Union Negotiations, Pay Terms and Conditions, Job evaluation and representations within Gross Misconduct Proceedings.

Mark said, “It is a great honour to be given this appointment and I look forward to working with the NEC and building the NCOA into a strong union within the National Crime Agency and honour our commitment to members to focus entirely on the issues that affect their terms, conditions and working conditions. In order to achieve our objectives it also imperative to build a positive and constructive environment for industrial relations in order to ensure that collective bargaining is maintained and the avoidance of a two tier workforce secured”

The NCOA was granted Trade Union status on the 8th July 2013 and can be found on the list of Trade Unions at www.certoffice.org.
