NCOA challenges new proposals on Overtime Working

4/26/2014

The proposals would effectively change members employment contracts whereby the current clause ‘there is no contractual obligation on a member to workovertime’ would be removed and effectively replaced with a requirement to work at the employers instruction.

NCOA has written to the employer and is currently engaged in a consultation period. The above issue around overtime will clearly not impact on all officers however, any feedback in respect to enforced compulsory overtime and rostered shifts is required.

Members are urged to attend a series of workplace meetings with their local NCOA Representatives in order to discuss the proposals recently announced by the employer.

Members are also reminded that they can provide their views/feedback independently via the NCOA Website www.ncoa.org,uk via the “Contact Us” Page.
